Art Smith Trail

On Sunday, cousin Jim went for a hike on the Art Smith Trail just outside of Palm Springs. He joined his friends Rod and Al Chandler (left to right). The three (along with Bill Hermann) had played golf several times and decided that this would be fun--they didn't have to hunt for golf balls.
Today we left Palm Springs and drove to Earp, CA, just across the Colorado River from Parker, AZ. The first thing Sami did was to swim in the river.

Calendar from Japan

I am excited to have received a 2012 calendar from my good friend Kaori Fujimoto. Kaori lives in Yokohama, Japan. Kaori came to visit me during the summer of 2007 and we had a great time traveling to some of the national parks in Arizona and Utah and even attended a Rockies baseball game in Denver.

I am still in the Palm Springs, CA, area. The weather has been great and I have been meeting lots of people.
