Pagosa Springs, CO

I am in Pagosa Springs, Colorado, and am enjoying the water and the mountains. There are "tubers" on the river and lots of people enjoying the mineral springs.  With the recent rains, the area looks great.

Pojoaque Class Reunion

While the Pojoaque High School classes of 1982, 1983 and 1984 were talking about "the good old days" in Pojoaque, I was at the bar at QBs having a beer and watching the baseball game on TV.
Cousin Pat was the class sponsor for the classes of '82 and '84 and she got to see many of her former students and some of the athletes she coached.
It looks like I will be in the Pojoaque, Los Alamos, Santa Fe for another few weeks.

Drums Along the Rockies

Several weeks ago I attended the Drums Along the Rockies Drum and Bugle Corps competition in Denver. The young people put on a great show.

Cheyenne, WY

I couldn't get my pictures to upload, but I wanted to let you know Betty and I had a great time in Cheyenne, WY, yesterday. We visited the railroad museum, attended the Celtic Music Festival, and visited the state capitol.
I hope to post some of the pictures soon.
Warmest regards, Gus

Deadwood, South Dakota

Yessterday, I made a trip to Deadwood, SD, and saw some of the sights. I saw the saloon where Wild Bill Hickock was shot, visited the cemetary where he is buried, and tried my luck at the slot machines at the Four Aces Casino. Luckily, I was only playing the penny slots, or I would have lost all my money.

Custer State Park, South Dakota

Today I went out to Custer State Park to check out the bison. I saw hundreds of bison, some of them mothers with their babies. I also saw a coyote, wild turkey, pronghorns (antelope), but the wild burrows were hiding today.
I stopped at Sylvan Lake for lunch and had a great day.
Warmest regards, Gus
