Fairchild AFB, WA

I guess I have gotten lazy with my posts. Last Saturday I attended the air show at Fairchild Air Force Base near Spokane, WA. There were lots of vintage planes, the Army Golden Knights Jump Team and the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds. As usual, the Thunderbirds put on a spectacular display of flying. The local newspaper reported that about 120,000 people attended the show on Saturday. I think every person drove two cars, because it took over two hours to exit the base at the end of the show.
Today I am in Blanchard, ID, at StoneRidge Resort. I will be here until Tuesday when I will travel to Couer d' Alene to meet the others who are going to Alaska. I am really excited about this trip.
Warmest regards, Gus
